The purpose of this organization shall be to foster, expand, and perpetuate awareness of and interest in the development of ice skating, and in particular, the game of hockey and the activities affiliated with the game. This shall be accomplished by offering financial support to those who cannot afford the cost of equipment, and by establishing a scholarship program to assist in the furtherance of their education.
Our Mission
Giving Back
To date, The Friends of Marblehead Hockey has awarded over $300,000.00 in scholarships to college-bound senior hockey players, both men and women, and hockey cheerleaders. $155,000.00 has been donated to Marblehead Youth Hockey to assist families in need to pay for equipment and ice time. Additionally, we have contributed roughly another $150,000.00 to promote the women’s hockey program, and to various charities and memorial funds.
